First time here. Simply put: amazing. Yes it is more expensive, but the quality of food was exquisite, the service was spot on and the atmosphere was perfect. Every dish that the table of 9 ordered met or exceeded expectations. Good wine selection and the bar drinks were very well made. We were given several chef specials to try and they were all amazing. The wait staff gaff no problem accommodating a slightly picky 4 year old also. Would highly recommend for a special occasion or a romantic night out.

Hands Down the best restaurant in Johnson City. I have been here twice and it has been 5 star both times. Food is amazing. Great service. I wish this place was in Nashville. If it was, it would be double the cost. Very reasonable prices for a restaurant of this caliber. I'm never eating anywhere else when I'm in town.

Went here on a recommendation from a coworker who had been there before. This place is the best. Great atmosphere, excellent service knowledgable staff, some of the best food I have had any where. I will rank this great little spot with any of the five star places I have eaten at anywhere. We had a party of 4 and everyone raved about the meals.(Filet, Lamb Chops, Duck two ways, Shrimp and Scallops) If I am back in this area (within 100 miles) I will be going to the Cafe Pacific again!!

We've been here twice in the past year, and definitely the best dinning experience in Johnson City. The ambience of the restaurant is barn meets Asian, eclectic and interesting. All the dishes we've tried were well prepared and tasty; service was friendly and competent. Would I give this a 5 stars if it were in the San Francisco Bay Area where I was from originally? No, it'd be 4 star, but added one star for being the best and a little different, in a good way, for this area.

Had a fabulous meal here tonight. Started out with the pumpkin maple soup, stunning flavor. Lobster bisque was the best I've ever had. Garlic herb chicken remounted awesome. That was partnered by a medley of vegetables and not just the usual squash and broccoli, no. White asparagus, green asparagus, mushrooms, fingerling potatoes, carrot, artichoke, you get the picture. All perfectly cooked and very tasty. Service was excellent, not slow, but equally we didn't feel rushed, they judged it just right. At about $50 a head (tip excluded) I thought it was great value for money. My best compliment would be that I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area again.

What a surprise in jcity... This serene house is off the beaten path; and as we walked up to the front door, the garden and fountain puts you into a calm mood. The rolls and tropical butter were yummy. My mango tea was amazing- they even gave me an individual carafe, so I didn't have to ask for refills. We ordered the hummus as an appetizer- which was good, but not outstanding. My entrée was the special- a juliened potato encrusted trout over asaparagus with a side of veggie rice pilaf. The dish was almost excellent. The flavor was great, the food was plated impressively, the portion was huge. My trout was a little on the dry side. But overall my meal was wonderful. There were 7 of us... The others ordered Thai basil chicken, neptune's feast, etc. The Thai chicken was also very flavorful. The interior atmosphere is ok, definitely needs a pro decorator, does not match the quality of the food. Our server was a nice girl but I've had much better service for the money we spent. The only irritation was the automatic service charge/tip they added to our bills bc of the large party... Which I was not told about when we called ahead to get a table. Would definitely go back.

Johnson City's best restaurant -- a gem hidden in a hollow on West Oakland Avenue near Marketplace. Simply outstanding food with flawless service. Menu is varied and interesting, and I've never made a bad choice. The restaurant itself isn't impressive from the outside, but like its sister restaurant (Cafe 111), features unique and attractive decor inside. Perfect for intimate dinners or small groups. Pricey, but so worth it!

Ate here as part of a party of 7. Came on a Thursday Night and had an upstairs section to ourselves. A polite and attentive, yet unobtrusive, young woman named Jade served us. Food, especially Ahi Tuna steak (of which 4 of us ordered) and the Salmon were absolutely fabulous. Also wonderful were the deserts. If you enjoy light beer, and you've never had a Delerium Tremens, do yourself a favor and order one. Overall, the simple touches from the chefs, the service, decor, and food made Cafe Pacific one of the best dining and culinary experiences I've had in recent memory. I'm a Texan native, and when I return to these parts, I will make it a point to return.

Gourmet food, gourmet prices, great patio in the summer. Some of the, if not THE, best food in the area. This place doesn't look like it's up to much from the outside. At least to me it doesn't. My first time was 2004. Wifey and I had been working hard in the yard. Sweaty. Stinky. Really dirty. And starving. And kind of broke. I mentioned two places near here, and described this to her as "a little hole in the wall kinda place that looks like they'd have great burgers and we probably don't even neet to shower first." One of us put on a clean shirt. Maybe both of us, but we were underdressed by about six levels for Cafe Pacific which, it turns out, is very nice, very expensive for this area, and the staff didn't bat an eye at our attire, or at least not that we knew of. We ate a fantastic meal and laughed most of the time and for quite awhile afterward. We come here on special occasions, when we're flush with cash, or just need a fancy meal fix. The menu changes seasonally and the specials are usually pretty awesome. The patio here is a hidden gem. A good place for some afternoon libations when you don't want to run into anyone else. It's not a big place, so it can seem kind of congested or "close." It's a Victorianish house converted into an eatery. Parking is limited, but so is the seating so that's probably a match. They usually impress with the first courses, apps/salads/soups, nail some really nice specials and entrees, and finish strong with desserts/coffee/cocktails. It's like the chef knows what's up and matches great food without getting too self-indulgent and adding the trendy spice-of-the-month to the whole freakin' menu or making something that's just too many exotic uncoordinated and non-complementary flavors that you see so often from some fresh-from-culinary-class new places these days. I'm all for exploring with recipes and menus, but don't impose it on the rest of us until you know what you're doing. Usually a great seafood speical (think seabass flown in yesterday or oysters from the chesapeake this morning) option or two, hearty meat dish, spicy pasta, etc. Get your wallet out, let go of some of that money, and enjoy a nice meal once in awhile. Cafe Pacific is a great spot to do it.

This restaurant is probably the absolutely best in our area, in terms of quality of food and service. It is perfect for a corporate group dinner. The prefix menu is a great choice for a group of ppl for a quick and quality dinner. I would recommend this restaurant for anyone who is looking for corporate dinner for 10 or romantic outing for two!

Great relaxing dinner. Off the beaten path but worth finding. Cute secluded spot. The server was friendly, efficient and professional. Food was delicious. Had the roasted beet and heirloom tomato salad as recommended. Great flavor and presentation. Seared tuna for dinner. Great accompaniments of sautéed vegetables and noodles in a great sauce. Everything was a "10".
